Okay so. I've been having thoughts in various places, I'll try to reconstruct them.
Davrin and Bellara's vallaslin/tattoos are both unique! I think Davrin's might be either Ghilan'nain (vaguely like halla horns) or June (got those angular bold lines). Not many thoughts other than that on Davrin. ... Oh yeah he has a griffon and the griffon is named "Assan" which is elvhen for "arrow" so he's definitely Dalish, right??
Bellara's is very... very. It's not like any other vallaslin, really?? Maybe kind of like Dirthamen, which would also fit with her "uncovering secrets", though Dirthamen seems more like a "hoarding secrets" than "uncovering secrets" kind of person, not that that should stop the Dalish from having a different understanding of Dirthamen's domains, but my wild speculation/hope is that Bellara's vallaslin isn't devoted to any Evanuris at all, and that 10 years on, the whole "vallaslin were originally slave markings" things has become somewhat known to the Dalish and there's now a like. Scism? Controversy? About what to like. Do. About that. Maybe some younger Dalish (Bellara looks pretty young IMO) are like "tattooing our faces is a rite of passage into adulthood, but... fuck the Evanuris, let's make our OWN designs". Because Bellara's forehead tattoo looks like a Fade tear to me, so what if she specifically marked herself as a Veil Jumper? That would be cool, I think.
Solas has a dagger that can cut open the fabric of reality, and I kept checking for missing fingers on both him and the promo art of Rook that has Rook wielding that dagger, but no I don't think it's literally the Subtle Knife. Just, you know, pretty damn evocative of the Subtle Knife.

Apparently all the companions are going to be explicitly pansexual, as in they're going to have and discuss relationships with people of all genders they have had regardless of whether you romance them with a same-gender Rook or not. That's neat.
Apparently character creation includes a body type slider or five??? Excuse ME while I make a lady of actual size. Big... buff... sword lady............ soft and round mage.... unassuming baby-faced rogue.......... a Rook who will survive the hardships of winter.............
Minrathous looks like some kind of. It's like cyberpunk but make it pseudomedieval aesthetic?? The floating FUCKING ring palace thing and the SEARCHLIGHTS and the. Wow. It's a pity it's powered bya forsaken child slavery and blood sacrifice, because goddamn that looks like some nice quality of life. ......... could say the same thing about Arlathan and Elvhenan, probably........................ and of course the quality of life for the highest echelons can be Fucking Fantastic while the poor and huddled masses live in the gutter just as much as ol' backwater Ferelden...
